Navigation

Toolbar

A navigation toolbar is provided. By default, it appears at the top of the Two Due window. However, you can grab it by its left or top, and move it around the window, or completely outside the window, to whatever location you find most convenient. It contains the following buttons. Note that, if you are not already on the Item Tab, most of these buttons will display that Tab as part of their operation.

Note that there are now two Tabs that display your list: the List Tab and the Tree Tab. Both views respect the filtering criteria and sort fields set on the View Tab, but on the Tree Tab the primary sequence is always Category. The following navigation keys work within whichever "list" view you most recently used. So if you most recently were on the Tree Tab, then pressing the Next button will take you to the next item appearing on the Tree Tab, with similar but possibly different results if you last came from the List Tab.

Save
This will save your current To Do list from memory to disk. If this button is grayed out, then there are no unsaved changes. If the button is not grayed out, then unsaved changes are present.
First
This will select the first record in the list.
Prior
This will select the record just prior to the current one in the list. This function is also available from the Record menu.
Next
This will select the next record. Note that Next and Prior will work from the location of the last record you selected, prior to any key changes that may have affected the location of the item in the list. This way you can go through the items at the top of the list, for example, changing the dates or closing each item, yet still stay positioned at the top of the list. This function is also available from the Record menu.
Last
This will select the last record in the list.
New
This will create a new record with all fields set to their default values. This function is also available from the Record menu, or by pressing Ctrl/Cmd N.
Delete
This will delete the current record.
Launch
This will cause the Web URL for the current item to be launched by your Web browser.

You may also navigate through the list of records through the List Tab or the Tree Tab.

Note that the bottom center portion of the Two Due window will tell you the current record number you have selected, the number of visible records, and the total number of records, if different. These numbers will appear, respectively, in the following format: "10 of 57 (83)".
