List Menu
This menu allows the user to perform functions that affect the current list as a whole, or multiple items within the list. The following menu items are available.
Find
Find Again
Add/Replace Category
Validate Web Pages
Add Quotes to All
Remove Quotes from All
The find command allows you to enter a text string in a dialog box, and then searches for all items in the currently displayed list that contain the search string in any text field. The search is not case-sensitive. If any matching items are found, then the Find function will take you to the first found item on the list and display that item on the Item Tab. From this point, the user may use Find Again to move forward through the list of found items, Next and Prior to navigate forwards and backwards through the list. The record counts at the bottom of the screen will show how many items were found and where you are currently positioned within the list of found items.
For consistency with the Mac interface, there is also a Find Again item on the List Menu that allows the user to navigate forwards through the list of found items.
This function allows you to select an existing category used on the list, and then specify another existing category, or a new one, to be used as a replacement. All items with the search category will have their category changed to the replacement category specified. By leaving the existing category blank, you can add the new category to all items. By leaving the new category blank, you can remove an existing category from all items on which it appears.
The Author and Source links on all items in the list will be checked. All items with Dead links will be selected upon return. You may use the Next and Prior buttons to navigate through the items whose links could not be validated. Note that this function requires an active Internet connection.
Add enclosing quotation marks, where they are missing, to all wisdom items in the current collection.
Remove enclosing quotation marks, where they exist, from all wisdom items in the current collection.
