Java Support
iWisdom requires a Java Runtime Environment (JRE), also known as a Java Virtual Machine (JVM). The version of this JRE/JVM must be at least 1.4.1. Visit www.java.com to download a recent version for most operating systems. The JVM is pre-installed as part of Mac OS X, and may be updated from the Software Update panel.

Executable
The iWisdom program can be launched by opening a file named "iwisdom", followed by the executable file extension appropriate for your platform, or by the ".jar" extension. If you find a single jar file called "iwisdom.jar", then double-clicking on this file should cause iWisdom to be executed.

Upon launch, iWisdom will open your primary wisdom collection. If you are launching iWisdom for the first time, then iWisdom will create a Wisdom folder for you, within your top level user folder. After creating a New folder (through the File menu, you may specify the alternate folder as your primary on the View tab.
